The Redbrik Foundation Chesterfield 10K is an event which takes place annually, bringing thousands of runners together in Chesterfield town centre. Each year, the event gets bigger and better, with places selling out and new events including the Pronto Paints Fun Run and the Nuzest 3K and 5K races, allowing runners of all abilities to take part.
Chapter II provides support for the Redbrik Foundation Chesterfield 10K across social media and communication with the event partners, but our primary role is to generate media coverage surrounding the weekend.
For the 10K, local and regional news coverage is key. Over our years as an event partner, we have developed excellent relationships with publications local to Chesterfield, including the Derbyshire Times and Destination Chesterfield. Each year, we have been able to secure a double page in the Derbyshire Times, which covers the key details of the event.


The news we share surrounding the event is carefully tailored in the run-up to the event to help MLS, the organisers behind the 10K, not only promote the event, but also share important details with the runners and the local community. In planning the press coverage for the Redbrik Foundation Chesterfield 10K, we are also in regular communication with the fantastic charities that are supported by the event to ensure as much money as possible is raised for them over the weekend. In recent years, the partner charities have included Ashgate Hospice, Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice and Cavendish Cancer Care.
In 2025, the Redbrik Foundation Chesterfield 10K had its best year ever, with more than 1,400 runners participating, and we can’t wait to continue working with the brand to help the event grow even further over the coming years.
