Shouting about our clients’ successes is what we love to do at Chapter II, so when awards season rolls around each year, we love to help them shine on the big stage and help each client get the recognition they deserve from the business community.
Just last week, we saw one of our clients, Riverlution, take home the win in the sustainability category at the Barnsley & Rotherham Business Awards, and this was a fantastic way to celebrate all of the hard work their team has put in across the region over the last year and to acknowledge what their team has achieved.

When it comes to award entries, there are always lots of questions about how the process works, and not everyone knows that we can write and submit them for you.
Here are just a few of the most frequently asked questions we get about awards submissions:
How do I decide which awards to enter?
There are lots of types of award submissions, so it’s a good idea to consider if you are interested in industry-centred awards, or national or regional awards. There are pros of both options, and both can provide you with wider recognition for your business. It’s also worth considering if you have a budget for entering the awards, as with some, particularly larger national awards, you do have to pay to enter.
Once we know what kind of awards you’d like to enter, we can research all of the upcoming awards, find the cost, the submission deadline and recommend categories for you to enter, which we believe that you would have a strong chance of winning.
Can Chapter II write the entire submission for me?
Yes of course! Whether our clients have this included in their retainers with us, or are adding it on as an extra, we can complete the entire submission for you and enter it when it’s ready to go to the judges. Sometimes, the judges prefer to receive entries via video (for example, the unLTD Business Awards), and although we cannot be your face on camera for this, we can give you advice on what to include in your video and help you with the video production.
Do we get to help decide what is included in the award submission?
To put together award submissions, we always have a meeting with our clients to go through the criteria for the awards and discuss how the work they’ve done outlines why they should win the award.
For example, in the recent winning submission we wrote for Riverlution, we talked about all of the incredible work the Riverlution team are doing in Yorkshire, with an emphasis on how not only the work they are carrying out is helping the environment, but the adjustments they have made to their working practices have helped them to become even more sustainable as a business.
It’s important when you’re writing an award submission that you really take the time to answer each point within the criteria and explain why this means you should win, so the more information we can get from our clients in detail, the better.
