Emilia, welcome to Chapter II! Can you tell us a bit more about yourself?

I have worked in Digital PR for nearly 4 years, and I have always wanted to focus more on the social side of marketing, leaning into my creative side whilst still bringing stories to life with digital PR.

Before getting into digital PR, I completed 4 years studying at York St John University and left with a BA in English Literature and an MA in Contemporary Literature. During this time, I developed my skills in writing, storytelling, and proofreading, which have all contributed to my development in digital marketing and PR over the last few years.

I love being creative in everything I do, but in my personal time I love to get outdoors and explore new places, whether it’s in the peaks or finding the best new local cafe for a coffee and a treat! I also enjoy spending time with friends, going to pilates, and creating fashion content on my own personal social media.

What are you most looking forward to about working at Chapter II?

Starting a new chapter (no pun intended!) in my career has been exciting enough, but I am looking forward to branching out and gaining broader marketing experience. I’m especially excited to get involved in social media management for clients, helping brands grow their presence through creative PR campaigns, and attending exciting events to create engaging content.

But of course I am most excited to work with a supportive and talented team who thrive on collaboration, creativity and learning from one another.

Could you give us an explanation of your role in one sentence?

As a Senior Account Executive, I work closely with clients to grow their brands through creative digital PR campaigns, securing media coverage and creating engaging social media content.

What is your favourite trend in marketing at the moment?

I think my favourite trend in marketing at the moment is the focus on the value of the human voice and personal PR, especially amidst all the AI discussion across the industry. It’s refreshing to see authenticity, real stories and genuine expertise becoming more valued as a counterbalance to AI-generated content.

While AI has an important place in improving efficiency and productivity, I don’t think it can ever replace real emotion, authentic storytelling or human creativity.

For me, the best marketing will always be about connecting with people, so let’s not sacrifice authenticity and creativity in the pursuit of perfection or overly polished content!

Is there a dream client you'd like to work with in the future?

I'd love to work with brands in the fashion, lifestyle, food and drink, or wellbeing sectors, as they're all industries I'm genuinely interested in. That said, I think a dream client is less about the industry and more about the relationship. Any client who is positive, collaborative and trusts us to do what we do best is a dream to work with.

And finally... what's your favourite meal deal?

I’m very indecisive so this tends to change all the time! If I had to choose, I’d say a chicken caesar salad wrap, hula-hoops (preferably BBQ beef), and any kind of iced coffee.
